About the business
COVE Business Technology Pty. Ltd. (ABN 82 131 056 481), a 100% Australian owned company, was incorporated in May 2008 by two highly successful small business operators who are committed to delivering industry leading customer service and technology solutions. Unlike many others in the industry, COVE is focused on putting its most import asset first - the customer.
The level of service that COVE delivers time and time again is nothing short of industry leading, not only from our highly skilled and professional team, but through innovative technology deployments and solutions for real world applications.
At COVE, you won't find a group of people focused on the returns they're getting from another "investment", instead, you'll find a group of like-minded entrepreneurs who are in touch with their customer base, and are able to comfortably converse with customers on their level.
COVE will enter the competitive web hosting market with Australia's first large scale deployment of purpose-built 64bit hardware and software, utilising the very latest 64bit operating systems, core applications and software.
Customers have the ability to manage of all their services, including domain names, web hosting accounts, premium e-mail services, and bulk SMS, through our secure online portal known as MyCOVE. The MyCOVE system was designed to centralise and automate most of the tasks associated with managing these services, without having the customer login to three or four different systems.
We are certain you will appreciate the level of detail that has gone in to creating COVE, and we look forward to having the opportunity to show you how things should be done.
Meet the team
Chris Band - Managing Director
Chris began investigating the need for an all-round business services company, with a personal touch, when his needs could not be met by anything in the current marketplace. During his investigations, he was able to find other like-minded people who came together to form COVE.
Chris is no stranger to running highly successful businesses, with his two bicycle showrooms and repair workshops in Sydney's northern beaches turning over more than $2M annually, with plans to expand further up the north coast later in the year.
Kim Marchant - Non-Executive Director
Coming from a big family with dozens of investments and business ventures under their wing, Kim joins COVE with the intention of bringing both family and first-hand knowledge of the Information Technology sector to the table.
Kim manages a number of online businesses every day while taking care of her young family, and her extended family trust owns and operates a number of Information Technology businesses and manages over $3M worth of property investments across Australia.
Cheyne Jonstone - General Manager
Cheyne's experience in the Information Technology sector speaks for itself, having been the General Manager of Australia's most successful and award winning budget web hosting company, before being appointed the same title of the multi-million dollar company who purchased the business in 2007.
Aside from his latest appointment as General Manager of COVE, he is caretaker of his family's $6M property and investment trust, and has completed his Diploma in Business Management (2003) and Diploma in Human Resource Management (2005).
Environmental awareness
COVE is one of very few businesses in the IT sector who acknowledges that power used to run our office and equipment, as well as the equipment itself, is a contributing factor to the growing amount of greenhouse gas emissions or "black balloons" being released to the environment, which is why we offer our customers the ability to offset all of their carbon emitting services.
Carbon Offsets
Every product and service we offer has been carefully analyzed to give us an indication of how much carbon offset is required to neutralise the effects it has on the environment, plus a small buffer to ensure we're doing more and not less.
Carbon offsets are entirely voluntary at this stage and can be purchased as an add on to any COVE service.
Offsets that are purchased by COVE customers are directly donated to CarbonNeutral.com.au who are committed to neutralising carbon emissions by planting trees that trap CO2 and neutralise it.
Green Office Policy
COVE maintains a strict green office policy which is responsible for policies such as all paper and cardboard products are recycled, either in-house or through the appropriate facilities, and that all printer cartridges and mobile telephones are recycled.
